In the USA "something.us" addresses are very uncommon, and the result is that we only appear to have had a a small number of views from US specific addresses (such as ".edu", ".gov" and ".us"). However from when we launched the site in July 2008 to the end of March 2009 there were 1555 visits from users using "aol.com" which was the pioneering Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the States, where it is known as "America On Line". Almost certainly a good proportion of those aol views were from the USA. If you are viewing from the US tell us!

Another case is Africa where until recently we seemed to have had no hits, now we have had a few. OK, so model boats in the Sahara may be a bad choice... but surely in South Africa? Checking on Google it appears that many of their ISP's fall in the ".com" category. The same may be true for other African countries. If you are viewing from Africa tell us!

There may well be other countries where the dominant ISP's have addresses which are not country specific; if so we will never know how many views we have had from those places.
