Elmbridge Model Club is one of the largest model clubs in the UK, with over 180 members. The marine section operates from a lake owned by the club near Thorpe, Surrey. Many different types of boat can be seen at the lake including steam, fast electric, i/c powered multi hulls and hydroplanes, scale, yachts, and submarines. The main thrust of activity is free sailing of yachts, submarines and scale models, and light hearted fun racing amongst club members.
