ALAN'S ELECTRICS

As a newcomer to model boats (Autumn 2007), I am very grateful for all the help, advice and encouragement from members of the club. So by way of thanks I'm posting a few pages here to share my electronics/electrical knowledge with you all. This photo should help members who visit the pond less frequently to indentify me.

Those of you who know me realise that I'd rather spend time tinkering with this stuff than actually modelling - as my un-finished/poorly detailed boats show. But it's much too late in the day for the lion to change its spots - as my old boss (a master of the malaprop) used to say!

So here are a few articles on general electrical/electronic topics and some DIY electronic projects you can build yourself - or maybe even con me into building for you!

As with all of life, there is no substitute for experience - so whilst I think I know my electronics, as a newbie in the boat world I more than welcome you putting me right on any pronouncements I may have made. Your suggestions for further articles and projects are especially welcome as otherwise you will only hear about stuff that I think you want to know about!
